LINKIN PARK New Song!!! (Qwerty Vid)

It's so cool! Linkin Park has a new song out!! People thought that Linkin Park was over after Mike Shinoda went to Fort Minor, but LINKIN PARK is still a band! Their new song, "QWERTY" is quite good, actually. There is a video for it on YouTube, but it is scenes from other concerts and pictures.
The link is;

Google Hijacked?

Has Google been hijacked? Some people think it has but no, it hasn't. Someone has created a new Trojan Downloader that infects peoples system through Google. It is my belief that it downloads zipfiles secretly that contain your most often Google searches in the name. These zipfiles continuously download spyware, adware and Trojans onto your computer without you even knowing. The Google toolbar most likely contributes to your vulnerability to this virus. As far as I know, this infection if Windows only. (Lucky Macs) It is a system infection, not just a virus. (Both Internet Explorer and Firefox on the same computer has noted the infection.) A good program to use to find this Virus is HijackThis!, a program that detects your processes on your computer and any system changes mad since you got it. This allows you to see the virus or viruses and remove them. Any regular anti-virus or anti-spyware programs freeze up when it gets to the virus.

Here is a post by someone who has been infected by this virus, at Experts-Exchange.

Title: Google Hijack
asked by moeman99 on 06/10/2005 10:13AM PDT

My Google has been taken over, please help! This is not just an IE issue as this same behavior is present in Firefox. When I type a search into Google it takes me to a results page that looks something like Google but the returned links seem to be paid advertisements that may or may not have anything to do with what I was searching for.None of the links on my Google page work either. (ie, Images, Groups, Advanced Search, etc.) . When click one of these, the page does not change but the address in my address bar changes from "http://google.com/" to "http://google.com/#".I am unable to connect to gmail either, when I try, it takes me to "The page cannot be found" page. I've done a virus scan (McAfee) and found nothing. I've run Spybot, Ad-Aware, and XoftSpy with no luck.I've hunted this site for help but have not been successful. I'm running XP Pro (SP 2).Below is a log from HijackThis: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1Scan saved at 12:07:48 PM, on 6/10/2005Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180)Running processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Virtual Token\vtserver.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\ibmpmsvc.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\S24EvMon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\Program Files\Momentum\MHVPN Client\cvpnd.exeC:\Program Files\IBM\IBM Rapid Restore Ultra\rrpcsb.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exeC:\Program Files\Network Associates\Common Framework\FrameworkService.exeC:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\Mcshield.exeC:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\VsTskMgr.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXEC:\PROGRA~1\MI6841~1\MSSQL\binn\sqlservr.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\QCONSVC.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\RegSrvc.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\TpKmpSVC.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPLpr.exeC:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\TpShocks.exeC:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\PkgMgr\HOTKEY\TPHKMGR.exeC:\Program Files\ThinkPad\PkgMgr\HOTKEY\TPONSCR.exeC:\Program Files\ThinkPad\PkgMgr\HOTKEY_1\TpScrex.exeC:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\EzEjMnAp.ExeC:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exeC:\IBMTOOLS\UTILS\ibmprc.exeC:\Program Files\ThinkPad\ConnectUtilities\QCWLICON.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exeC:\Program Files\Network Associates\Common Framework\UpdaterUI.exeC:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\SHSTAT.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exeC:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.ExeC:\Program Files\Digital Line Detect\DLG.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\sqlmangr.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXEC:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXEC:\Documents and Settings\tthalman\Desktop\New Folder\HijackThis.exeR0 - The Lair of Tarn Razorlor

22 January 2007 - The Lair of Tarn Razorlor
It's time to dust off your undead combat kit! This week's update brings you the doom-laden lair of Tarn Razorlor!
Tarn is a necromancer who has discovered the power of the Salve crystal. If you've defeated Treus Dayth in the Haunted Mine quest, there's nothing to stop him from laying his evil hands on a piece of this precious crystal. Unfortunately, his intentions for this incredible mineral would make many a dead adventurer turn in their grave - if Tarn hadn't been there first...
Equip your Salve Amulet and head over to the Haunted Mine in the south-west of Morytania to experience the thrill of combat against the newly-awakened undead. With new monsters to fight, new traps to disarm and new treasures to unearth, can you survive the challenge of Tarn's Lair?
In addition to Tarn's new dungeon full of undead creatures, we've improved the look of many of the other undead monsters. Throughout the lands and dungeons of RuneScape, the zombies, skeletons and ghosts now have a brand new look and a far more convincing lurch. If you venture to the pyramids in the desert you'll find that the mummies have been similarly redecorated.
In other news...
We've made a slight adjustment to the ring of stone. Previously, when you changed back from being a rock, you'd have to unequip the ring and put it back on before you could become a rock again. It will now unequip itself automatically, just like the Ring of Egg does, which should be far more convenient for all you rock impersonators out there.
The bug that made the fire cape appear upside down in your inventory has been fixed!
The Barbarians have declared that they are fed up tripping over people's pet cats in the Barbarian Assault caverns, so they are now forbidding anyone from taking pets down the ladder into the minigame area.
Finally, in response to requests from players, it is no longer possible to trade the following items:
Eye of gnome
Paramaya Inn ticket
Skull
Pole
Hollow reed
Palm leaf
Bad wine
Unfermented wine
Leaf-bladed spear

Interfaces and spooky wallpapers

16 January 2007 - Interfaces and spooky wallpapers
This week brings a short break from the principal updates of the month, giving you all time to prepare for the forthcoming zombies and penguins! We've sent our highly talented team of artistic demons through some of the most commonly used interfaces and menus in the game and given them a much needed graphical makeover. Check out the new look of the Magic spellbook - now working without a scrollbar - and the Skill Advance guides. There's even a feature on the Friends List to show you which world you're on!
As you may be aware, we've been working very hard towards releasing RuneScape in other languages, and we need to free up more space on our interfaces for future developments. With this in mind, we've shrunk the text in the Quest Journal list by a point.
In addition to the in-game graphical update, we also bring you five new wallpapers. The undead beings of RuneScape have been getting rather jealous of the graphical updates other creatures have been receiving, so now it's their turn. Check out the concept art wallpapers to whet your appetite for this forthcoming update. We promise bones, bandages and braaaains galore!
Along with the creature concept image comes a bizarre holiday snap showing what Tim and Crunchy, the warrior and skeleton from the Detail Select page, did on their holidays, plus a candid insight into the world of the Wise Old Man - whatever could that be lurking beneath his desk? Head over to the Downloads page to see what all the fuss is about.

Players' Gallery and QuestHelp

It's that time again, and the journals and magazines devoted to the art of RuneScape are all a-quiver at the thought of what there may be. Postie Pete has gathered the finest art in the many kingdoms of RuneScape together and presents them in the latest Players' Gallery.
There is also a new batch of QuestHelps arriving to aid you in your heroic endeavours. Now you will be able to get all the help you need with Mourning's End Part I, Mourning's Ends Part II, Troll Romance, Troll Stronghold and One Small Favour.

Also, RuneScape's download page is avaliable at the "Downloads" link on their main page.

BARBARIAN ASSAULT!

More Runescape updates coming in! Sorry I missed this one, they added it inbetween...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4 January 2007 - Barbarian Assault
Deep below the Barbarian Outpost a new menace twitches and pulsates with anger, preparing wave after wave of shrieking, monstrous pummeling at the barbarians' expense... or is it some kind of strange training regime? Can these creatures have been put here on purpose? What are these strange mutants and why have they been caged beneath the earth?
Behold the Penance! The barbarians believe these vile creatures were spawned by the mighty gods to allow the people of RuneScape to show their allegiance through combat. A gargantuan arena has been built below the Barbarian Outpost for you to prove your worth, so head to the area and talk to Captain Cain.
Take up the challenge in this long-awaited minigame. As part of a team, choose which role you want to play against the deadly threat. You could be an attacker and hack your way through waves of slimy flesh, or become a defender, setting up traps and luring the monsters to a grisly death. Those of you who enjoy a fast pace of life could be a collector, sorting out the ammunition for the fierce launchers and unleashing havoc on the Penance below. The last role is that of the trusty healer - using poisonous substances against the Penance and ensuring your own team stays alive!
This is a team-based game, so the greatest rewards are for those willing to work together. Use barbarian horns to shout to your team and climb up to the mighty 'Horn of Glory' to let everyone hear your orders. You can choose to play with your friends and wander into one of the team rooms, or if you go to the quickstart room we will find a group of adventurers for you.
Working through the waves of monsters, you can level up your ability in the roles and improve your value as a fighter against the Penance. Other great rewards are available, including many items to be won - both new and old. These include a new armour set with multiple uses, gloves of lightness and many of your favourite rewards from other areas of the game, including dragon equipment.
Before starting you will be treated to a training tutorial, so you'll be ready to put your best tactics into play. This is also a safe minigame, with lots of expendable equipment (such as runes and arrows) provided for free.
So how about it? Anyone can show their penance, but it takes a real hero to help a barbarian assault!

Bobby's Bad Day

Well, everyone knows Bobby Petrino is a traitor and left UofL for the Falcons. My local radio station, 102.3 The Max FM had one of their crew, Tommy Lee sing a song about it. (Not the famous Tommy Lee =p) It is a parody of Daniel Powter's Song, "Had a Bad Day." It is a hilarious song, and now they've made it into a slideshow with music and posted it on YouTube!

This is a hilarious video of a test run (and the last run) of a rocket scooter that went airborne!
"This unsanctioned event took place in the parking lot behind an unnamed hobby shop in Carrollton, TX on Jan 21st, 2007." This was what the poster described it as.

IBlinds-The New Generation Ipod Accessory?

This is a hilarious video. The authors described;

Serge takes a satirical look at what might be possible in the future, and ponders how far will the 'i' generation take us?....and how much of is actually needed!.This video was originally released on Jan 14th but has now been remixed with an original soundtrack.I contacted James via his youtube channel over helping on this project, thankfully he accepted. We have never met in person or spoken, everything was done online with myself here in Chicago and James in Scotland.Spending long hours exchanging samples and re-edits a song was made. Thanks once again James! This has been the longest toughest video for me to create yet.I feel it was worth it.

Contact!

(Taken from www. runescape.com)

10 January 2007 - Contact!
Deep within the Kharidian Desert, south of Shantay Pass, unrest is growing within the cities of Menaphos and Sophanem. With the threat of the Devourer still lurking in the shadows, the High Priest of Icthlarin has deemed it time to make contact with the citizens of Sophanem who had fled to Menaphos in the face of the recent plague. Thus far his attempts have proved futile, however, as Menaphos remains wary of the contagion and refuses to comply.
Perhaps all is not lost, though! Perhaps some brave soul will step up to this challenge and help out the High Priest! They will need to be well versed in the ways of the desert lands, having survived Icthlarin's Little Helper as well as Gertrude's Cat and Prince Ali Rescue. Adventurers with a desire to help should brave the desert as far as Sophanem and seek out the High Priest in the shade of the temple found in the south-west of that city.
Be prepared for what an ancient dungeon full of dangerous high-level creatures might throw at you. Rumour has it that certain sturdy inhabitants of this town have recently vanished during attempts to make contact with those over the river, so folk afraid of physical danger should probably steer well clear of this mission. Especially likely to come to a sticky end are those who rush in blindly and unprepared, though the careful and nimble explorer might find that success comes relatively easily. Those who prove themselves in this task can expect not only generous Thieving and Combat experience, but a new weapon that will prove most potent against Kalphites and other, as yet mysterious, foes. These rewards will come from both the High Priest and more unexpected sources; will you be among the first to experience them?
Make sure to pack your lantern, tinderbox, food, and plenty of guts, though maybe not your life savings. You'll need them for one of the most dangerous places in RuneScape!
(No, honestly, we really mean that.)
In other news...
Fans of Barbarian Assault will be glad to hear that we've fixed a number of bugs in that popular minigame, including the issue whereby players' side-interfaces occasionally disappeared and the problem with the Horn of Glory interface getting closed. On a lighter note, the egg launchers have had their mechanisms adjusted so that they should no longer shoot innocent-looking pet cats.
If you're waiting to be recruited for a game of Barbarian Assault, please note that you'll now need to turn on the ACCEPT AID option if you wish to receive recruitment offers. This option is controlled by the button on the left of the Run/Walk toggle.
The animations of the defender weapons have been adjusted to fix the problem where players appeared to stop walking for a moment if they got hit while wielding a defender.
The effect of the Flames of Zamorak spell is to temporarily reduce its victim's magic level. This was not working against players who'd boosted their magic levels (such as by drinking a potion). We have now fixed the spell to make it drain its victim's magic level, even if that level had been boosted. A corresponding bug has been fixed with the Claws of Guthix.

Iraq PM Tells Shiite Militias to Give Up

Iraq PM Tells Shiite Militias to Give Up
Published: 1/10/07, 8:06 PM EDT By STEVEN R. HURST and QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Iraq's prime minister has told Shiite militiamen to surrender their arms or face an all-out assault by U.S.-backed Iraqi forces, senior Iraqi officials said Wednesday, as President Bush said he will commit an additional 21,500 American combat troops to the war.
Under pressure from the U.S., Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has agreed to crack down on fighters controlled by his most powerful political ally, Muqtada al-Sadr, a radical Shiite cleric, according to officials. Previously, al-Maliki had resisted the move.
"Prime Minister al-Maliki has told everyone that there will be no escape from attack," said a senior Shiite legislator and close al-Maliki adviser, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak for the prime minister. "The government has told the Sadrists: 'If we want to build a state we have no other choice but to attack armed groups.'"
In his address to the nation Wednesday evening - exerpts of which were released in advance by the White House - the president said al-Maliki had promised that U.S. forces would have a free hand and that "political or sectarian interference will not be tolerated."
He also warned that the U.S. expected the Iraqi leader to keep those promises. "America's commitment is not open-ended," Bush said. "If the Iraqi government does not follow through on its promises, it will lose the support of the American people and it will lose the support of the Iraqi people."
Al-Maliki on Saturday announced that his government would implement a new security plan for Baghdad, which consists of neighborhood-by-neighborhood sweeps by Iraqi forces backed by U.S. troops.
In the past, the Iraqi government has tried to prevent American military operations against the Mahdi Army, while giving U.S. forces a free hand against Sunni militants. The Bush administration has pushed al-Maliki, who took office in May, to curb his militia allies or allow U.S. troops to do the job.
Although al-Maliki withdrew political protection from the Mahdi Army, there was no guarantee the Shiite fighters would be easily routed from the large and growing area of Baghdad under their control.
The militia has more fighters, weapons and sophistication today than it did in 2004, when it battled U.S. forces to a standstill in two strongholds, the Shiite holy city of Najaf and Sadr City, Baghdad's sprawling Shiite slum.
Sunni militants, meanwhile, have put up fierce resistance in the five days since al-Maliki announced his new security initiative for Baghdad.
Iraqi and U.S. troops have battled Sunni insurgents along Haifa Street in central Baghdad in two major battles.
The neighborhood is only about 2 1/2 miles north of the Green Zone, site of the Iraqi government headquarters, the U.S. Embassy and base for thousands of American soldiers.
Eighty suspected insurgents were killed in the fighting - 50 of them on Tuesday alone, in an assault backed by U.S. troops, fighter jets and attack helicopters.
According to the excerpts of the president's speech released in advance by the White House, Bush will send 21,500 more troops - 17,500 of them to help pacify Baghdad,
The increase in troop levels was expected to be part of a larger military and economic effort intended to turn around a 3 1/2-year-old war that has cost the U.S. hundreds of billions of dollars and more than 3,000 lives.
In preparation for the new security plan, the Iraqi military will bring two brigades from northern Iraq, a region largely populated by Kurds, and one from the south.
Tens of thousands of Iraqis have died, many of them in the capital in the past year - after the war became a religious conflict between Sunnis and Shiites. Sectarian violence began after the February bombing of a major Shiite shrine by al-Qaida in Iraq.
Al-Maliki has not commented on the Bush administration's plans to create a set of benchmarks to measure the Iraqi government's progress on improving security.
Washington wants the prime minister to come up with a plan to equitably share the country's oil wealth, ease restrictions on former Baath Party members and hold provincial elections - steps regarded as critically important to drawing Sunnis into the political process.
An Iraqi general, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to disclose details of the plan, said a mainly Kurdish force would be sent into the Sadr City slum in northeast Baghdad, which serves as headquarters of the Mahdi Army.
The general said Kurds, who are Sunni but not Arab, were being used against the Shiite militia because soldiers from other Iraqi units were likely to refuse to fight fellow Shiites. An estimated 80 percent of Iraq's army is Shiite.
Under the new security plan, the general said, U.S. and Iraqi troops will sweep Baghdad neighborhoods in an effort to dislodge the Mahdi Army, as well as Sunni extremists - including al-Qaida in Iraq and two of its allied groups, the Ansar al-Sunnah Army and the Omar Brigade.
Iraqi and U.S. officials said Iraqi commanders will be put in charge of each of nine city districts. Each commander will operate independently of Iraqi military headquarters.
Al-Maliki has named Lt. Gen. Aboud Gambar, an Iraqi general who was taken prisoner of war by U.S. forces during the 1991 Gulf war, as the overall commander.
Gambar, a Shiite, will have two assistants, one from the police and one from the army, Iraqi military officers said on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to disclose the information. Gambar will report directly to al-Maliki.
The Americans plan to put 400 to 600 U.S. soldiers in each district as a backup force, a senior Bush administration official said Wednesday. Others will be held in reserve throughout the capital to deploy quickly on the request of Iraqi commanders.
One senior U.S. official said al-Maliki agreed to stop protecting the Mahdi Army under pressure from both the U.S. and his fellow Iraqis.
"It is time to perform, and that's the message he's getting from his own people, that's the message he's getting from the president and that's the message he's getting from the American people," the official said in a conference call with U.S. reporters.
The official said the al-Maliki "plan will work" because it frees his military from political and sectarian influence.
The latest drive to pacify Baghdad is at least the fourth since the war began. All have had only limited success, with insurgents and militants swiftly returning to neighborhoods after U.S. and Iraqi military forces departed.
In the most recent of these operations, Iraq's army fielded fewer troops than promised. That made it impossible to maintain control of areas that U.S. forces had cleared of gunmen.
Police on Wednesday reported that at least 92 people had died violently or been found dead across the country.
In a single deadly attack, Sunni gunmen opened fire on a convoy of buses carrying Shiite Muslim pilgrims home from the hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Muslim holy places in Saudi Arabia, according to police and Akeel al-Khazaali, the governor of the southern province of Karbala.
At least 11 people were killed and 14 wounded. Al-Khazaali told Iraqi state television that some of the slain pilgrims had been severely burned in the ambush, which occurred about 75 miles west of the Shiite holy city of Karbala.
Police said 60 bodies, many of them victims of torture, were found in Baghdad Wednesday. Seven more were discovered in the northern city of Mosul. Shootings, mortar attacks and bombings at various places around Iraq claimed another 14 lives.
The U.S. military announced Wednesday that four more American soldiers died of combat wounds in Iraq. A Task Force Lightning soldier assigned to 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division died Tuesday from a gunshot wound sustained in the Diyala province northeast of Baghdad.
Two more soldiers died the same day in Iraq's western Anbar province. One was assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, and one was assigned to 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division.
A 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) Soldier was killed by a roadside bomb outside of Fallujah.

Runescape Scammers Stink

This is very unfair. There are many players of Runescape out there and their only want is to steal from 0ther, innocent players. What kind of low-life person would do this????
Here's an example from an update post...
(Update From Runescape.com)

19 December 2006 - Fake websites

We're seeing a growing number of people in our game and on our forums advertising scam websites which are designed to steal your RuneScape password.
These websites generally offer you something amazing, such as a sneak preview of a forthcoming RuneScape update, thus tempting you into giving away your password in your excitement. Even if the website itself doesn't ask you to enter your RuneScape password, it might install malicious software on your computer that would steal your password the next time you type it.
In particular, we would like to make it very clear that websites promoting sequels or spinoffs relating to our games are fake. Similarly, websites offering RuneScape benefits or the chance to become a moderator are fake. None of these websites should be trusted.
Think about it for a moment: If we had made something new and fun, we wouldn't hide it on a different website. We'd tell you all about it right here on www.runescape.com, like we did when we were working on RuneScape 2. So if you've found something that claims to be from us, but it's not mentioned on www.runescape.com or www.jagex.com then it is fake! We don't run secret websites.
If you see someone advertising a scam website in our game or forums, don't panic. You're safe so long as you don't visit the website. You can, however, help us by reporting them immediately, and we can take swift action to have their website removed by our Investigation Team.
If this happens in the game, please use the Report Abuse button at the bottom of your screen, selecting Rule 11: Advertising / website.
If the website is being advertised on our forums, please report it in the Forum Emergencies thread in the General forum, stating the thread's Quick-Find Code and the username of the player advertising the website. But don't post a copy of the website's address in the Forums Emergencies thread; that would help the scammers!
Thank you for your support.Happy holidays!
